(25 Jan 1917, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Death of W. S. Tyrks (sic).
W. S. Tyrks, aged 53, died Tuesday night at 8:30 o'clock after an illness
of over two weeks.  The immediate cause of death was dropsy.  Relatives
arrived Wednesday night from Coalgate, Okla., and the funeral was held
from the family residence on Eighth street Thursday morning at 10 o'clock.
 The remains were laid at rest in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery.
The deceased had been in the employ of G. K. Engle for the past seven
years.  He leaves, besides his wife, eight children, the oldest of whom is
15 years of age.
