All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ WALDREN, WILLIE ANN (11 Nov 1929, Sayre Newspaper, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral services were held for Mrs. Willie Ann Waldren, who died at the home of her mother, Mrs. A. S. Davis Friday, November 8, 1929, at 2:30 at the Carter cemetery. Mrs. Waldren became suddenly ill at the home of her mother, Mrs. A. S. Davis, who lives 4 miles south of Sayre. She died November 7, 1929. Those left to mourn her death are: Her mother, Mrs. A. S. Davis, two sisters, Miss Agnes Davis and Mrs. Levena Boarch (sic) and one brother George Davis. Rev. J. T. Means officiated. Littrell and Moore were in charge of the body. (24 Nov 1929, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Willie Ann Waldren, daughter of Rev. A. S. Davis and Mrs. Augusta Davis was born January 1, 1885, at Norman, Oklahoma and in 1890 moved with her parents to the Sayre vicinity and has resided here since. She was converted at the age of sixteen and united with the Methodist church at Sulphur, Oklahoma, where she was attending the school of the deaf, and has lived a consistent life since. She was united in marriage to Mr. Charles H. Waldren, December 23, 1913, who passed on before on April 11, 1916. She departed this life on Thursday afternoon, November 7, 1929, at her home southeast of this city and the funeral services were held at the Carter cemetery Friday by Rev. J. T. Means.
