WARD, AMOUR A.
(30 Dec 1926, Thursday, Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY.  Amour A. Ward was born in Texas April 18, 1883; died at Elk
City, Oklahoma, December 21, 1926, as a result of an accident received
while working in a gin in Sayre.
He was 43 years, eight months and three days old.
April 26, 1909, he was married to Miss Cora Annie Baker.  To this union
was born six girls and one boy, the boy dying in infancy.  He joined the
Methodist church at about 22 years of age.  He leaves a wife, six girls, a
mother, two brothers, and relatives and friends to mourn his home going.
He was man of honor and integrity, a good citizen ready to assist in any
good cause.  His loyalty to his wife and his devotion to his children were
his marked characteristics.  The sympathy of the community goes out to his
bereaved family.
