(6 Mar 1924, Thursday, Sayre Star, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY
Laura Luvenia Shoffield was born March 6th, 1860, in the state of Georgia.
 She departed this life February 24th, 1924, at Butler, Oklahoma.  She was
converted and joined the Methodist church at the age of fourteen.  Married
to Rev. J. W. Williams March 22nd, 1875.
To this union was born ten children, six girls and four boys.  Two sons
and three daughters survive to mourn her going away.  For sixty three
years, eleven months and eighteen blessed days she lived to labor and
sacrifice for those she loved.
---Mrs. Jim Hart of Fresno, California, who was called home on account of
the death of her mother, Mrs. J. W. Williams, is spending a few weeks
visiting her sister Mrs. Earl Wilson, before returning home.
