WILLIS, MARY E.
(5 Jul 1923, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. John Willis, residing in the fourth ward, died suddenly Monday
afternoon of dropsy and heart failure.  The funeral services were held at
Lone Oak church Tuesday afternoon, with interment in the Lone Oak
Cemetery.
Obituary.
Mary E. Willis, wife of John Willis an old and highly respected lady of
Sayre died at her home Monday evening at 6 o'clock, age 74 years, 6 months
and 24 days.  She has been a great sufferer from heart trouble for a
number of years.  She was a member of the Primative Baptist Church at
Erick, Oklahoma.  Funeral services was conducted by her pastor, Elder J.
T. Mathews of Sayre, Oklahoma.  Many came from a distance to pay their
tribute to this good woman.  Surviving her are her aged husband, an
adopted son and family who mourn her death, besides a host of very dear
friends.
