(13 Jun 1912, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):  Buffalo Community
News:
Mrs. Ida Toodle Witt, wife of Arthur Witt, of Sweetwater, died June 1st,
1912, at 12:30 p.m., after an illness of two weeks duration.  Mrs. Witt
was a bride of only ten months and her early demise was a shock to the
entire community.  She leaves an infant, two weeks of age.  The deceased
professed faith in Christ two years ago and united with the Buffalo
Baptist church, but afterwards removed her membership to Sweetwater where
she lived a consistent christian until her death.  Funeral services were
conducted at the Buffalo Baptist church by Revs. S. N. Wilson and J. M.
Wileman of Erick.  The body was laid to rest in the Sanders (Buffalo)
cemetery at 1:30 p.m., June 2d.  The largest crowd that ever attended a
funeral here was in attendance.
