Other (sic) York, 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. York, died at his home near Murphy's Gin Sunday morning at 3 o'clock. Death was due to diphtheria. Funeral services were held at the Pioneer cemetery at Hext Switch Tuesday p.m. at 1 o'clock. Rev. J. H. Burns pastor of the First Baptist church was in charge of the funeral services. (16 Sep 1929, Monday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Other (sic) Line York, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. York, was born July 18, 1917, and died Sept. 8, 1929, age 12 years, 1 mo. 21 days. He died at his home near Sweetwater. He leaves to mourn his going his father and mother and six brothers. B. E. York of Grimes, Okla., W. H. York of Elk City, Okla., B. A.
