Dick Robinson officiating. Born February 22, 1899 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Mr. Salyer went from Cheyenne to Sayre in 1923 where he had been an employee and bank director since then. An active civic worker and former resident of the Sayre Board of Education, which he served ten years, he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Masonic Order No. 195 and an active member of the First Baptist church. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Effie of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Fenno, Victorville, California; Mrs. Gladys Horton, Redlands, California; two nieces, Mrs. Wayne Stack, Victorville, California, and Mrs. Lucille Hall, Redlands, California.
