  Funeral services for John A.
Scism who died at his home Satur-
day were held at the Church of
Christ Thursday afternoon with R.
L. Copening, minister officiating.
  Mr. Scism was born April 1, 1874
Mo. He moved to Oklahoma in 1902
from Missouri and settled near
Dempsey.  he was Married to Prud-
ence Wood March 8, 1903 and they
have made their home in western
Oklahoma since that time.  A far-
mer for may years he retired
two years ago and moved his re-
sidence to Sayre.  Hw was a mem-
ber of the Sayre Church of Christ.
  Survivors are his wife, Pru-
dence Scism of the home address
one daughter, Mrs. Louise Simms,
Las Vegas, Nevada; four sons Ural
of Fontana, California Hubert of
Stockton, California, Eugene and
Emmanual of Sayre; one brother
and two sisters.
  Cimmittall was in the Sayre -
Doxey cemetery with Scroggins
Funeral Home in charge of ar-
rangements.
