BILL SIMMONS b.27 Sep 1858 d.05 Apr 1937 buried Carter cemetery *Carter,Beckham Co.,Ok., m.Bill SIMMONS 29 June 1875 ************************************************************ *MRS.BILL SIMMONS DIES * Carter morns the loss of one of its most prominent citizens,Mrs.Bill SIMMONS,who died at her home in Carter,April the 5th.Mrs.SIMMONS was born September the 27th 1858 in Hopkins County,Texas.She was 78 years of age.She was married to Bill SIMMONS June 29th 1875,who proceded her in death November the 4th 1892.She leaves to morn her death three sons and three daughters,Mrs.Ella SIMPSON,Berlin,Mrs.Bettie CLANCY,Elk City,Mrs.Jennie McALPINE,Carter,Carlie SIMMONS,Lester Ben SIMMONS,and John SIMMONS both of Carter.Forty Four-grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren.One brother,Bob RILEY of Oregon and one sister Polly Ann CECIL of Tulsa,Oklahoma,and a host of other friends and relatives. Services were conducted at the Christian church with Rev.HARLON of Sentinel,officiating.Interment was made at Carter cemetery Monday afternoon
