Simmons, 63, Elk City were held Monday, nauary 24, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. in the Second and Adams Streets Church of Christ, Elk City, with Albert Trent, Oklahoma City and W.R. Craig, ministers officiating. Mr. Simmons was born August 18, 1902 in Cordell and moved to Carter with his family when six years old and later to Hammon. A tailor, he lived and worked in this area all his life. Mr. Simmons was married to Jessie Stinson in Granite, March 18, 1928. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons Ketih of McAlester and Jerry of Elk City; a daughter, Sue Dennis, Fontana, California; two brothers, Curtis of Mentone, California, and E.C. of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Helen Paddack of Sayre; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home, Elk City.
