Carlos Ramirez officiating. Burial was at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Memorials may be made in Bertha's name to OMRF or the charity of your choice. An online registry is available at www.martinfhok.com Bertha was born February 22, 1916 in Cheyenne to Guy Lester Libby and Ila Jane Farmer and passed away Monday, November 1, 2010, at the age of 94. She grew up near Elk City and graduated from Elk City High School in 1934. She married Jess Smith on December 24, 1934, at Cheyenne and they lived and worked on ranches in the area until Mr. Smith's death in 1970. She then moved to Elk City where she worked in the dietary department of the Community Hospital for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Bill Libby. Survivors include two nieces, Jane Unruh and her husband Kline and Valeria Jay and her husband Bill of Elk City; three great-nieces; two great nephews; and two cousins, Jewel Seigrist and June Andris of Elk City.
