"Buck" and Mary Mildred "Mammie" Marriott. She passed away June 3, 2010, in Tulsa at the age of 94. Services were held June 7, 2010 at Erick First Baptist Church officiated by Brother Joe Merrill. Burial was at Erick Cemetery under the direction of Fathree-Albert Funeral Home. Condolences can by made online at www.whineryfs.com In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 2225 N Michigan, Floor 17, Chicago, Ill, 60601, on the American Mavular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515. Eula married David William Thornton on October 13, 1934, at Elk City and they lived in the Meadowbrook community until November of 1950 when they moved to Erick to make their home. She and Dave owned and operated Thornton Laundry for several years. Eula was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Erick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David, her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sandra Thornton, a grandson, Scott Gardner, son-in-law Ronald Menzel, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Janetta Ann Menzel of Houston, Texas, and Sandra Sue Gardner of Tulsa; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Myrtle Thornton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
