(27 Nov 1911, Friday, Texola Herald, Texola, Beckham Co, OK): RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT Whereas, the Great Supreme Ruler of the universe has in His infinite wisdom removed from among us our worthy and esteemed brother Thomas A. Windham; and whereas, his faithful and upright walks, and his ever readiness to discharge any duty which he owed to his society or his fellow-man, makes it eminently befitting that we herein express our appreciation of him. Resolved, that the sudden removal of such a life from among us leaves a vacancy and a shadow that will be deeply realized by all the members of this association, and will prove a serious loss to the community. Resolved, that while we sympathize deeply with the bereaved relatives, that we hope and believe that when we reach that undiscovered country from whose bourne no traveler ever returns, we will learn that He who knoweth all things, doeth all things well. Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of this organization, a copy printed in the local paper and a copy forwarded to the bereaved family.
