H. WAGGONER, of Elk City, died November 5th, in the Elk City Hospital, of that dreaded disease typhoid fever, after an illness of twenty days. He was moved to the hospital four days before his death from his home in South Elk City. Lawrence was born near Mt. Walsh in Greer county; moved with his parents to their farm ten miles south of Elk City, where he was raised until he was seventeen years old, or nearing his seventeenth birthday. He was baptized into Christ by a minister of the Christian church, at a protracted meeting held at the Taylor school house some two or three years ago, since which time he has never denied his faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lawrence was a good boy and an obedient son, and made friends of all who forged his acquaintance. He leaves three brothers, Leabron(sp?) WAGGONER, editor of the Mobeetie Texas, Thos. T. WAGGONER, editor of the Texola Herald, and Victor H. WAGGONER, also three sisters, Mrs. Bettie MARSH of Sweetwater, and Mrs. Jennie WALKER and Mrs. Gracy BARNETT of Elk City, and his father and mother and many friends who sincerely mourn his untimely demise. His remains were laid to rest in the family graveyard, near the Taylor school house, Wednesday, November 6th, 1907, after an appropriate talk by Elder WELLS of the Christian church. He was seventeen years and four days old at the time of his death. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. WAGGONER are pained to learn of the death of their beloved son Lawerence (sic), and extend their sypathy to them and their sorrowing children.
