He passed away November 19, 2000 in Garden City, KS at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 1 day. Ermic moved with his parents at the age of 11 south of Elk City. He was married to Annie V. Fogg at Elk City, Oklahoma on November 28, 1940. They lived in the Carter community before moving to the Berlin community in 1950 to make their home. Ermic was a farmer and cattleman up until his death. He was a member of the Sayre Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Naomi Weaver, Hazel Shirley, Alma Weaver and brother Winfard Weaver. Memorials may be made to the Westview Boys Home or Tipton Childrens Home. Services were held on November 22, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Sayre Church of Christ, officiated by Kevin Ballard and Darrell Rains. Burial was at Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, OK under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: Wife, Ann, of the home; three sons, Joe Weaver and wife, Sue of Holcomb, KS; Leon Weaver and wife, Diane of Garden City, KS; Jimmy Weaver and wife, Terri of Boise City, OK; three sisters, Vivian Richardson, Mavus Weaver, Geneva Saarty, all of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Foy Weaver of Elk City, OK: Doyle Weaver, of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, Dalana, Aaron, Jami, Tammi, Jennifer, Natalie, Brenda, and Barbara; two great grandchildren, Nashae and Cole.
