Wheeler was born January 20, 1871 at Golconda, Illinois. He parted this life in the Erick hospital on Sunday evening, November 6, 1949 at the age of 78 years, 1o months and 16 days. He was married to Ursual Pyland December 20, 1893 at Dixon Springs, Illinois. To this happy union were born two daughters and eight sons: one daughter and one son having preceded their father in death. The family came from illinois in June of 1901 and have lived at their present home ever since. Mr. Wheeler was a man of good character; a loving, kind and understanding father; a faithful husband. He was formerly a member of the local Assembly of God Church and lived a consistent Christian life to the end. Those who remain to mourn his loss and homegoing are: His wife, Mrs. George W. Wheeler of the home address: one daughter, Mrs. Fern Howell of Mayfield, Okla.; Ralph Wheeler of Los Angeles, Calif.; Murray Wheeler of Long Beach, Calif.; W.W. Wheeler of Amarillo, Texas, Roy Wheeler, Canadian, Texas, Olen Wheeler, of Reno, Nevada; Everett Wheeler of Dalhart, Texas; 22 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, one brother, also many other relatives and a host of fvriends to mourn his homegoing. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, 3 p.m., November 9, 1949 at the Community building with Rev. D.L. Heat officiating, assisted by Rev. H. Woodard. Burial was in White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills county, Oklahoma with Fatheree Funeral Home in charge.
