B. 21 Feb 1883 D. 5 Feb 1951 Fairlawn Cemetery Beckham Co OK Clyde A. Wheeler , a retired farm- er who lived at 1119 West 5, Elk City, died February 5, 1951. Mr. Wheeler had been ill for six weeks. He was born in Grapevine, Tex. February 21, 1883 and Married Dosha Downey in Doxey, Okla., De- cember 16, 1906. Me(?) came to Indian territory 51 years ago and had lived in Elk city the last seven years. He was a mem- ber of the Nazarene church. He is survived by has wife, of the home address, and three children Loyd Wheeler, Sacraments, Cal. Mrs. Violet Stansberry, Elk City, and Mrs. Junita Mutschler, Okla- homa City, and one brother, Claude Wheeler, Elk City. Also surviving are seven grand- children and four great-grandchil- dren. He was preceded in death by one daughter in 1977. Also two brothers, Will and John Wheeler, and a half- brother, Alva Southard, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Hollis. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30pm in the Nazarene church, with the Rev. R. F. Mc- Brian officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Martin-Hullum Funeral home is in charge of ar- rangements. Pallbearers will be L. E. Certain, Loyd Kappel, Rube Skelton, Bill Hayes, M. B. Roger and Ervin Fenn. Elk City Newspaper 6 Feb 1951.
