(18 May 1918, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
COUNTY SEAT NOTES.
Word was received in Sayre Saturday of the accidental death of Lawrence
Anderson, which occurred in El Reno Saturday.  He was a machinist in the
Rock Island shops there and was run over and killed by the switch engine. 
Lawrence was the eldest son of Rev. and Mrs. Anderson, formerly pastor of
the Methodist church here, and the past two years, Presiding Elder of this
district.
