(21 Aug 1924, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
LOCATES GRAVE OF FATHER 15 YEARS AFTER HIS DEATH.  (Foss Enterprise)
John Bennett of the Berlin community, Roger Mills County was here Sunday
in search of the burial place of his father, Jay Bennett, who died at his
home 8 miles northeast of Foss about 15 years ago.  His body is buried in
a little cemetery near the farm where he lived, which was homesteaded by
his father, Milo Bennett.
Bennett made inquiry concerning his father's burial place at the Gholston
garage and it happened that three men present, Allen Gholston, E. E.
Rogers, and Lewis Phillips, knew his father and where he was buried. 
Bennett, who is about 25 years old, was taken from his father's home by
his mother when he was a baby about 18 months old and until Sunday had
never been back here. He had understood that his father was buried near
Foss.  The grave is marked with a tombstone.  Bennett has spent most of
his time in southern Texas.
