(11 Apr 1902, Sayre Newspaper, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Railroad Accident. Chas. L. Box, a brakeman employed on the Choctaw water train was accidentally killed Thursday morning at 2 o'clock at McLain, Texas. From reports it seems as though he was hanging on the side of a wide flat car and when the train came to a narrow cut there was not room enough for him to pass and he was ground lifeless in an instant against the side of the cut. His body was brought here and prepared for shipment in the undertaking department of the Western Lumber Co. His mother, sister and brother in law accompanied the body to his home in Schell City, Mo., where it will be laid to rest.
