All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BOYNTON, EARL (24 Sep 1908, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Earl Boynton was the victim of a fatal accident which occured (sic) Wednesday of last week on his father's farm south of town. He started to climb across a hog pen fence when he slipped and fell across the fence, his stomach striking the top board. His internal injuries were so serious that he died Saturday morning, after everything possible had been done to save his life. An autopsy held Saturday evening revealed that one of the large intestines had been cut almost in two by the fall, and the intestines were otherwise badly bruised. He was about 17 years old, and was the sun (sic) of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Boynton, well known to the people of Sayre. The funeral was held Sunday. The many friends of the family are joined by us in extending sincerest sympathy to the parents. From his babyhood throughout his life he was a loving, obedient and dutiful son, and the kindest of brothers.
