BYERLY, INFANT
(10 Jun 1921, Friday, Southwest Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
BABY SMOTHERS.  The five month old baby of Sharon Barley (sic) living out
from town, died in a sudden and mysterious way the first of the week.  It
was left asleep on a couch and the other members of the family were gone
for a few minutes and when they returned the child was dead.  The family
can account for its death in no other way than that it became wrapped in
the blanket and smothered.
