CONNALLY, HARVEY D.(13 Apr 1928, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
Harvey Connally, a young man residing five miles northeast of Carter, lost
his life Sunday night when an automobile in which he and another young man
were riding, turned over on him a few miles northwest of town on the
highway.
The second boy, Ralph Knight, was also injured and was unconscious it is
said for several hours but has now recovered sufficiently to be up we are
informed.
The car ran into a bank by the side of the road causing it to turn over
and catching young Connally it penned him down to the ground until
motorists came along and got the car off of him.  He was carried to the
home of a farmer near by, Mr. Dock Barr, and lived till about three
o'clock Monday morning.  The accident happened about 8 o'clock Sunday
evening.
Harvey was living with his mother, Mrs. J. M. Allman, on the farm five
miles northeast of town.  His sudden and tragic death is a severe blow to
her and his other relatives.
Interment took place at the Poarch cemetery at four o'clock Tuesday
afternoon, a large crowd of his relatives and friends being present to pay
their respects to the memory of their loved one and friend.

Mrs. J. M. Allmon (sic) and children wish to express thanks to their many
friends for their sympathy and help so beautifully expressed in the loss
of their son and brother, Harvey Conally (sic).  We also want to thank
those who gave the beautiful flowers.
Mrs. Omie Breeze wants to express gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Allmon
for the kindness shown Ralph Knight who was also injured in the accident.
