All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ COX, CURTIS (15 Feb 1917, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): CURTIS COX KILLED. Curtis Cox, son of O. M. Cox living one mile west of Hammon, was killed at New Wilson, Okla., last Saturday, while assisting his brother in sawing a large tree. It fell crushing him to the ground killing him instantly. His body was sent to Hammon, for burial, the W. O. W. lodge being in charge. A large crowd attended the funeral services at Hammon on Sunday afternoon, at the M. E. Church South, where Rev. Depew preached the sermon and spoke in high tribute of the young man.
