All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ DOYLE, OWEN PAUL (27 Sep 1928, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Brother of Local Man Fumes Victim. O. P. Doyle, age 39, brother-in-law of Joe Nester, who lives southeast of town, was killed by gas fumes at his apartment, 4468 Lake Park Ave, Chicago, two weeks ago. Death was alleged to have came (sic) about by cyanide of pottassium (sic) fumes arising from gas used by an exterminating company while the building was being fumigated. Warning is said to have been given the occupants that the rooms in the apartment was not to have been entered for hours later, but upon entry of the rooms by agents of the company doing the fumigating, Mr. Doyle's body was found. Doyle was working at his trade of carpenter in the city. He and his family had lived in Sayre and on his wife's father's place, the Mulry farm, located three miles north and a mile west of Sayre.
