Little Boys Death Cause by Being Dragged by Horse. Friday, March 8th, Vincil Dye, the seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Dye, was fatally injured. While he was trying to mount one of the work horses, his foot became entangled in the harness, and falling the horse became frightened and ran the lot several times, then into the barn where the child was rescued in an unconscious condition in which state he remained until March 14th at 5:15 o'clock, when death relieved his suffering. The funeral services were held at the home, Thursday, at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Pitzer, in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. Interment was made in East Fairlawn cemetery at Elk City. The legion of friends of the family join in extending to the sorrowing father, mother, brothers and sisters, sincerest and heartfelt sympathy. -- By the Pixlee Correspondent. By His Aunt, Mrs. Vernie Reyburn: God called from earth to realms above, our beloved one, Vincil Sherman Dye. He was born June 7th, 1911, died March 14th at the home of his parents, north-east of Elk City, in Custer county. He leaves a father, mother, six sisters and three brothers to mourn his loss.. Little Vincil will be missed by all. A place is vacant in the home which can never be filled. He was a most affectionate child, and so bright in his work at school, as he was attending his first term. He was so interested in his studies and was so anxious to attend school every day.
