EDWARDS, CHILDREN - BOY & GIRL.
(8 Aug 1907, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Two Children Burnt To Death.
The residence of J. W. Edwards, three miles south of Wheeler, Texas, and
its contents were burned up Friday.
It is supposed that the children had tried to kindle a fire with coal oil
and the can exploded, setting them and the house on fire, as their bodies
were found in the kitchen part of the burnt house.  The 3-year-old baby
who was probably in the other room or out of doors managed to get away
unhurt with part of its hair burnt out.  The girl's head was burnt off the
body and the boys limbs severed from his body.  Both bodies were burnt
beyond recognition.
