EVERETT, JOEL FRANKLIN
(4 Nov 1916, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Joy (Joel) Franklin Everett, the little 3 year old son of Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Everett, of near Erick, was burned to death last Tuesday morning.  A
brother and cousin of Mr. Everett, with their families, had arrived from
Alabama, and a tent had been erected in the yard to accommodate the family
and their guests.  The little child was playing in this tent and it is
supposed that he lit a match and ignited the dry grass on the ground.  The
tent and contents was in flames when the fire was first discovered and the
lifeless body of the child was found in the ruins.  The funeral services
were held at the home Wednesday conducted by Rev. S. M. Wilson
