FARRAR, EDWARD
(28 Jun 1923, Thursday, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Spring Creek News:
Commits Suicide.  Wednesday night, June 20, our community was shocked when
word was received over the telephone that Edwin (sic) Farrar had committed
suicide by hanging himself while the family were away from home.  Mr.
Farrar had lived among us for about twenty years and was a rural mail
carrier for about twelve years.
His health failed and then his mind became impaired.  He is survived by a
wife, four sons, four daughters.
Funeral services were conducted at Doxey-Sayre cemetery by Brother Wells,
Sunday p.m.   Mrs. Jno. Devalt, a daughter was taken to a hospital a few
days before and underwent an operation and he was worried over the out
come.  This is thought to have caused the act.
