A. Johnson, former resident of Erick, now residing in Greenfield, Oklahoma, was accidently electrocuted by high voltage wires on a high line near Bois City, Monday afternoon according to word received here by his sister Mrs. John Newton. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, father and mother, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stewart arrived here Tuesday from Greenfield and joined by Mrs. Newton left at once for Bois City to attend the funeral of their son and brother. (23 Jan 1930, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. John Newton left Monday for Greenfield, Oklahoma to be with her mother, Mrs. J. A. Johnson, who is quite ill there from shock occasioned by the recent tragic death of her son, Perry (Pete) Johnson, who was accidently electrocuted near Boise City, Oklahoma, some 2 weeks ago.
