(28 Feb 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
RITES HELD FOR CRASH VICTIM
Funeral services have been held for Matthew Jones, 41, a farmer, who was
killed in an automobile accident near Butler Saturday night.  Mr. Jones,
driving his car and accompanied by two sons, was fatally injured when the
machine plunged off a bridge.  His throat was cut and he bled to death on
the way to the hospital at Butler, according to word received here.  The
accident occurred early Saturday night about five miles north and one mile
west of Butler.
