JONES, WILLIAM ED
(26 Feb 1910, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. John Decator Jones, who went to southwest Texas for the health of his
family, met with a serious trouble.  While out hunting one day his son Ed
stationed himself in a tree for the purpose of watching for game, when a
lady hunter approached and observed him in the tree and thinking he was a
wild cat, fired a shot at him which pierced his heart.  Mr. Jones brought
his son home for interment in the Poarch cemetery.  A very sad affair.
