(10 Dec 1908, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
TAKES THE CORBOLIC (sic) ACID ROUTE
W. J. Moncrief committed suicide last Tuesday morning on the George Graves
farm 4 1/2 miles west and one mile south of Erick by taking carbolic acid.
 He had a wife and several children.  No cause is known why he killed
himself.  He came recently from Sulphur Springs, Texas.  He was a brother
in law of N. E. McKay and resided with him temporarily.
