(27 Oct 1904, Erick Enterprise, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Littrell Moss, the eldest son of Mrs. L. B. Moss, six miles east of this place, while taking a gun out of a hack last Sunday afternoon was shot and instantly killed by the accidental discharge of the gun. He and other boys had just returned from hunting and was taking the gun from the vehicle with the above result. He was the eldest of Mrs. Moss' children and was her main dependence for her support, his father having died here in September. A few weeks before Mrs. Moss also lost her baby, and this makes the third death in the family since August 1. She has the sympathy of everybody and her needs will be looked after by her neighbors. The Enterprise extends sympathy also. (Oct 1904, Erick Newspaper, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Littrell Moss, oldest son of Mrs. L. B. Moss accidentally shot himself last Sunday with a shotgun at the home of his mother near Erick. The shot entered his body and killed him instantly. Littrell was a promising young man of 18 years and the main dependence of his mother and a large family. He was buried Monday in the Erick cemetery. Mr. L. B.
