NOEL, MAE SUE
(25 Jun 1914, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
FATAL ACCIDENT
Miss Mae Sue Noel, daughter of J. A. Noel, living 12 miles south of Elk
City, was found dead in the house at noon today with a 22 target revolver
lying by her side.  The supposition is that she was going to kill a
chicken for dinner, as has been the custom of shooting them with this same
22 target pistol, and in some unknown manner it was discharged with fatal
effect, and when her father and brother came in from the field at noon
they found her.
Funeral services will be held in Elk City tomorrow and interment in the
city cemetery.
