F. M. PRUITT KILLED
F. M. Pruitt living ten miles east of Carter was killed last Friday by an
auto overturning on him.  While no one was near, it was thought he had
trouble with the car when going up a hill.  It started backward and run
(sic) into a canyon ten feet deep, crushing him underneath the car.
Grubitz & Son, undertakers, were called to care for the body.  They say
his neck was broken.  He was about sixty years of age and a very prominent
citizen.
