All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ REDDING, LUKE (Oct 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): OLD INJURY IS FATAL TO YOUTH Luke Redding, 19, of Paris, Ark., died in a city hospital last evening from a fractured skull, which members of his family state, he sustained in an accident in a coal mine at Paris two months ago. The youth came to Elk City a week ago with a group of men, to pick cotton. He had, apparently, recovered from the injury. Saturday afternoon he became unconscious after complaining with a pain in his head and was brought to the hospital here. He was employed by A. J. McKinney, farmer southeast of the city. J. N. Redding, father of the deceased, and two sons, Clark Redding and Robert Redding, of Paris, arrived here Monday.
