All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ SCHWARTZ, RALPH (15 Sep 1930, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Ralph Schwartz of Foss was instantly killed late Thursday night when the Model T Ford Roadster that he was driving turned over on the highway about one-fourth mile south of Clinton. The two other occupants of the car, Mrs. Bessie Mitchell of Clinton and Frank C. Alexander of Foss are in the City Hospital at Clinton suffering from injuries received in the accident. Schwartz body was crushed beneath the car and an examination revealed that his neck was broken. His body was taken to the Clem Gilliland Funeral Home. Mrs. Mitchell suffered a fractured skull and Alexander received a brain injury besides numerous body lacerations. Schwartz was well known in Sayre, having made his home here up until about three years ago when he moved to Foss. He was rural mail carrier here for a number of years. Mr. Schwartz is survived by his wife and two children; his mother, Mrs. Joe Schwartz of Vinita, Oklahoma; two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held for Mr. Schwartz here, Saturday afternoon. The local post of the American Legion will be in charge of the funeral. Burial will be made at the Sayre-Doxey cemetery.
