Mrs. Charley Hutton hearing the screams of the family rushed to their aid and found the small baby almost burned to death. Dr. Shadid of Elk City was called and the burns were dressed, the little one was taken to the Elk Sanitarium where it died December 25th at one o'clock. Mr. Scott and one of the other small children were also burned about the hands and face. The fire was caused by coal oil having pasoline (sic) in it, which was unknown to Mrs. Scott when she went to rekindle a fire.
