SIMCO, BILL
(24 May 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
A lightning storm was fatal to Bill Simco, 19-year-old youth of near
Moorewood yesterday.  The lad was lying on the floor asleep when the
lightning struck and was rendered unconscious.
His mother, Mrs. Alice Cawps, was only a few feet from the boy, but was
not hurt by the strike.
Dr. Allen was summoned but upon arriving found that the boy had been dead
for some time.  He reported that death came almost instantaneously as a
result of the shock. - Leedey Times.
