(31 Aug 1906, Friday Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): A Sad Accident George W. Sisson, of Berlin, died in Sayre Sunday morning, caused by falling off a wagon, while enroute to his home at Berlin. Mr. Sisson came to Sayre after a load of freight for Rosser Bros., and from what we learn attempted to throw on the brakes, lost his balance and fell from the wagon, breaking his neck. George W. Sisson was 70 years old at the time of his death, was a G.A.R. member and the burial was performed by that order. The family has the entire sympathy of the community. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
