SNOWDEN, FEMALE
(7 Jul 1909, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
A CHILD KILLED
Ransom Snowden and wife who live near Cheyenne were on their way to town
with hogs Friday, each driving a wagon, their two children were on the
wagon with Mrs. Snowden, a little girl two years old and a little girl
older, the older child's attention was attracted by a passing buggy when
the wagon ran over a rough place throwing the little girl off breaking her
neck, killing her instantly.
On account of the extremely warm weather the little one was buried the
same day about sundown.
Mr. Snowden formerly lived near Elk City and is a brother to T. and L. C.
Snowden who live near town.
