The accident occured on the A. G. Hamilton farm near Sweetwater, Oklahoma. It seems from reports that Mr. Stone was driving up an incline and the plow got hung on a root, the tractor raising up and fallowing over backwards crushing him to death instantly. Tilmon Stone was born in Prescott, Arkansas, October 2nd, 1885. He joined the Baptist church at Buffalo about 25 years ago. He was married to Miss Mary Bradley, December 16th, 1906. To this union 4 children were born; one preceding him in death. He departed this life March 29th, 1929, age 43 years, 5 months and 28 days. (Buried Buffalo Cemetery). He leaves to mourn his departure, wife, three children and a host of friends and relatives who have our sympathy in this sad hour. Mr. Stone was well known in this vicinity having been among the first to settle in the Buffalo community, where he was recognized as one of the leading farmers of that section and was often seen on our streets with his farm products. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
