(29 May 1924, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Died. Henry M. Treadwell died Sunday evening, May 25th, at 5:20. Age 45 years, 1 month and 12 days. His death came as a shock to our community as Henry was in town greeting his friends Monday or Tuesday. He was suffering from a scratch he had received on his finger, which developed into a case of blood poisoning, which was not thought serious at the time, but the poison spread through his system rapidly and the end came very suddenly. On April 29th, his mother, Mrs. Adeline Treadwell, was taken to the unknown by the same disease. Henry M. Treadwell had lived in this vicinity for about twenty years, and by his honest dealings with our people, had made many friends who join with the Democrat in extending sympathy to the bereaved wife, children and friends. The body was prepared for shipment by D. G. Fatheree, undertaker for the Bonebrake-Gillum Co., and the remains were taken to Willow, Okla., and from there shipped to Bellevue, Tex., where they will be laid to rest by those of his mother. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
