W. Tucker, lost his life by drowning. Owing to the absence of eyewitnesses it is impossible to obtain details of the accident, but it is presumed the child who was playing on the bank of Turkey creek, a short distance from the house, approached too near the water's edge and fell in. The body was discovered in about three feet of water. An effort was made to resuscitate the child, but life was extinct before the body was recovered from the water. The remains were interred in the Erick cemetery Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted at the grave by Rev. L. B. Anderson. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
