TURNER, BILLIE NORA
(5 Jun 1930, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Fish Pond Claims Life of Billie Nora Turner.
Billie Nora Turner, eighteen months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E.
Turner, residing near Sweetwater, was accidently drowned last Wednesday
evening about 7 o'clock, at the family home when she wandered away from
the house to a fish pond in the yard and while interested in viewing the
fish swimming in the water she became overbalanced, falling into the pond.
The child was missed by the parents some time after she fell, according to
report but too late to save her life after rescuing her body from the
water.
The remains were prepared for burial by Undertaker Fatheree, of this city,
and interment was had in the cemetery at Lone Oak, Thursday afternoon.
