(23 Jun 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH FROM LOCKJAW
Hoyt Vaughn, son of W. G. Vaughn, near Port, stepped on a nail about two
weeks ago.  It healed apparently all right, but a few days afterwards
trouble started again and he had tetanus, from which he did not recover,
and his death occurred Saturday morning.  He was one of ten children and
the first in the family to die.  (Buried Ural Cemetery, Beckham Co, Okla.)
