(27 Dec 1929, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): ROBERT WALKER DIES IN WRECK NEAR HOBART Orville Moore Is Suffering Injuries in Hospital; Others Unhurt Robert Walker, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Walker who live five and a half miles southeast of the city was killed instantly last night when the car in which he was riding was wrecked near Hobart. Three other boys were with him at the time of the accident but only one other, Orville Moore, was injured. Mr. Moore was rushed to a Hobart hospital where he was treated. Physicians expect him to recover. One of Robert Walker's brothers was in the car, and escaped uninjured. The other passenger in the auto is not known. Funeral services for Walker will be held in Port tomorrow afternoon, according to reports made by the family today. Arrangements will be made late today. Interment will be made in the cemetery there (Washita County). The Walker family has lived on the Roy Walters farm since last spring. The cotton crop was planted and the close of the harvesting was near. There were ten children in the family.
