WALLACE, JOHN CALVIN
(20 Sep 1923, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Former Erick Boy Killed
John Calvin Wallace, 16 years old, formerly of Erick, was instantly killed
by lightning Wednesday morning about 10 o'clock.  He was camped about ten
miles east of Perryton, Texas, and was 200 yards from camp at the time of
the bolt.
One of his brothers was near but assistance was of no avail.  His body was
buried in Ochiltree cemetery Thursday afternoon.  He was a son of E. H.
and Emma Wallace.
